Introduction
The Earth Virtual Organization (VO) is a community of users within SMSCG with the following shared goals:
- Carry out numerical studies in the Earth sciences related area.
- Support development of parallel numerical tools for Earth sciences, both for computation and data analysis.

1 List of applications for the Earth VO
The following applications are supported within Earth VO:
- Alpine3D (more information is available here)
2 Joining the VO
IMPORTANT: By applying to be a member of the Earth VO YOU implicitly accept to respect the terms and conditions (also known as Acceptable Use Policy) of usage of the SMSCG resources for the Earth VO, which is available in PDF format here.
Please submit the following page to join the Life VO. to join the Earth VO.
3 Access to Grid client software
SMSCG sites maintain their own Grid hosts to access the SMSCG Grid resources: users are advised to contact their sites representatives or the VO contact persons to be granted access.
4 Running applications on the Grid
The following example(s) should be run on an SMSCG Grid host (see point 3):
