General information for users of the SMSCG
In order to allow for access to applications on the Grid, scientific users are organised according to specific application areas. In Grid terms, this is referred to as Virtual Organisation or VO. Currently, the following application areas (VOs) are defined:
- Life sciences
- Supported applications: NAMD, GROMACS, GAMESS, ROSETTA, MediGIFT
- Earth sciences
- Suported application: Alpine 3D
- Computer cryptography (RSA768)
- High Energy Physics
- Specific experiment (VO): ATLAS
In order to use the Grid infrastructure, users need to join one of the VOs described. Please click on the link of the VO of your interest to obtain detailed information on how to join as well as use the available software applications within that application area.
