Security Recommendations for Users

Grids are powerful tools. Users should therefore cultivate a sense for security practices. The following bullet list provides some 'netiquette' users should respect. The list is complementary to the policies the user has abide, when subscribing to the Grid.

• use strong passwords and keep them secret
• don't share your grid access with others
• do only run applications you trust (if they were not pre-installed)
• if you write your own applications, test them before running them on the Grid.
